EXPO 2025
Expo 2025 is currently underway in Osaka, Japan, running from April 13 to October 13, 2025. This six-month global event is hosted on Yumeshima Island, a reclaimed land in Osaka Bay, and is themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The Expo brings together over 160 countries and organizations, showcasing innovations across approximately 80 uniquely designed pavilions.
- Grand Ring: A central architectural feature is the Grand Ring, a 2-kilometer-long, 20-meter-high wooden structure designed by architect Sou Fujimoto. It encircles the main exhibition area and has been recognized as the world’s largest wooden architectural structure.

- Innovative Exhibits: Visitors can experience cutting-edge technologies, including robots, flying cars, and health innovations. Notable exhibits include a space travel-themed U.S. pavilion and an emotional Ukrainian exhibit documenting life during the ongoing war.
- Mascot: The Expo's mascot, Myaku-Myaku, is a colorful and friendly character that greets visitors throughout the venue.
- Attendance: Organizers anticipate 28 million visitors over the course of the event
- Access: A new extension of the Osaka Metro's Chūō Line connects the city center to Yumeshima Island, facilitating visitor access to the Expo site.
